Window awnings
Window awnings are a robust exterior sun protection, which ensures shade from the sun and comfortable temperatures inside. At the same time, the window awning ensures that you can open the window and get fresh air in, even if it has been driven out. Window awnings are available in a multitude of solid, multicolored, striped and patterned versions, so it can easily spruce up the house wall with its unique design.
WINDOW AWNINGS
Flexible awnings for windows
For exterior sun protection, a window awning is a good solution, and the window awning fits most types of window sections. The one advantage of an external screen is that the sun hits the awning fabric before the windows themselves, which ensures that the rooms maintain a comfortable temperature and provide a good indoor climate. The other advantage of window awnings is that you can still open the windows even if they have been driven out, so with window awnings you get both the opportunity to shield from bright sunlight and fresh air for circulation at the same time. At Merkur Gardiner, we recommend that your new window awning is wider than the dimensions of your windows, so you get better protection from sunlight from the side.

Shade from the sun and preserve the view with parachute awnings
A drop arm awning is a window awning where the awning arms are attached to the wall or window frame, so when the fall arm awning is rolled out, the arms fall out from the cassette. You can set your parachute awning with three stops. The upper stop is when the awning has to roll itself into the half or full cassette, the lower stop is the maximum angular degree, the awning must roll down to, which can be a maximum of 120 degrees and then the comfort stop, which is your preferred setting of the parachute awning. The most common setting of the drop arm awning is a drop of 90 degrees, so that the awning fabric hangs obliquely and the arms stand straight out from the wall or window frame. Parachute awnings are an ideal solution for standard windows as well as top-hung outward-facing windows.

Double up on flexibility with an awning sole
An awning isolate combines the functions of a parachute awning and exterior screen into one sun protection solution. The upper part of the awning sole consists of the awning fabric that runs down along the window until it falls out at its set angle, in the same way as with the drop arm awning. With this combined function, the upper part of the window is completely screened off and the lower part is open for viewing, even though the awning screen screens for direct sunlight. The awning insulation is particularly suitable for elongated window sections, where the need for light incidence and lookout can vary.
