Pleated blinds
Pleated blinds with their zigzag structure are a decorative solar screening, while at the same time shielding effectively from sunlight and peeking. Pleated blinds can be operated in many ways, be one-, two- and four-layer and are particularly attractive with its free parking function, which allows you to screen right where the need arises.

Pleated blinds provide good protection
Pleated blinds are as aesthetic as they are functional, and they consist of a single layer of pleated fabric, which gives the characteristic angular shape. Pleated blinds provide good shielding from light and access from the outside, and with free parking, you can screen off completely flexibly. The special thing about pleated blinds is that with their shape they filter the light comfortably and reduce light reflections when it is rolled down. This makes pleated blinds suitable for workplaces where there is a lot of screen work. The selection of pleated curtains is large, so whether they are minimalist, darkening or motif-filled, you will find the variant for your needs at Merkur Gardiner.

Better acoustics and indoor climate with double layer pleated blinds
For large rooms and office areas, where acoustics and sound levels can affect the work concentration, double-layer pleated blinds’ bee structure can create a sound-absorbing effect – in fact, they can absorb up to 70% of sounds and noise from outside. The characteristic hive shape of dupli and duettes creates a layer of stagnant air, between the two layers. This provides an insulating effect in winter and can minimize heat loss from windows by up to 30%, and conversely, the double-layer pleated blind can reflect up to 77% of the sun’s rays on a summer day. Pleated blinds are ideal for creating comfortable temperatures and a good indoor climate.

Operate pleated blinds manually
Pleated blinds have many operating options. Select the manual where the pleated blind is operated with ordinary cord or chain pull. Choose the loopcord® or smartcord® solution, where the cord is always the same length, no matter how far up or down the curtain is. If you want a pleat free of cord or chain pulls, the cordless® solution is the choice, where the pleat is adjusted via a handle on the bottom strip. Should it be completely flexible, choose the free parking solution, where the pleated blind can be raised and lowered via both the top and bottom moldings, so that it screens right where the need arises, and preserves the rest of the lookout.
