Repair and maintenance
In order to maintain beautiful curtains or a reliable awning, Merkur Gardiner recommends our customers to regularly inspect their solar screening. Although our products are of high quality, ongoing maintenance helps to ensure that the products last for many years to come. Should you break a chain, damage a bracket during relocation or otherwise be unfortunate, then Merkur Gardiner can help repair it, so you again get a nice and functional solar screening.
Professional and do-it-yourself help
At Merkur Gardiner, we have our own workshop and sewing room, where we can make small repairs to rails, textiles, roman blinds, venetian blinds, slats and pleated blinds. If you would like to make the repair of your solar screening yourself, we also have spare parts such as chain and cord pullers, weights, fittings, drawbars, bottom chain and joints.
How to maintain your interior solar screening
Interior solar screening is best maintained with regular washing and cleaning to remove bacteria, dust and dirt. This applies to both fabric textiles which are used, for example, for curtains, pleated blinds and roller blinds, and for wooden and aluminum slats. Regular cleaning of the various types of interior solar screening also minimizes asthma and allergy genes and contributes to a generally healthier indoor climate.
Maintain your awning regularly
Especially exterior solar screening in the form of different types of awnings, is exposed to changing weather conditions and temperatures annually. Although the equipment and awnings are durable, Merkur Gardiner recommends that your sun visor be regularly retightened and lubricated to maintain its full functionality. Our installers offer nationwide service overhaul so that your exterior solar screening is maintained by professionals.
